Recreational Activities - A broad range of activities for every interest and lifestyle.
At The Arc of Monroe County, we offer a Medicaid Respite program for individuals with intellectual and/or other developmental disabilities. In order to qualify for this program, the following criteria must be met:

Individual must live with a family member.

18 years of age or older.

Must be Medicaid Waiver eligible.

Ability to be in the community semi-independently.
In order to apply for this program, a Medicaid Service Coordinator must fill out and submit a DDP1 and Hourly Respite Waiver Authorization Form to our Recreation Department. They will then submit to the DDSO.
This program offers transportation and may be eligible for reimbursment through Family Reimbursement.
Every day, we bring those opportunities to the individuals we serve, providing a wide variety of social and therapeutic options for leisure and recreational experiences.
Services include:
- sports & spectator events
- theatre and cultural arts exploration
- festivals
- local excursions and day trips
- educational experiences, such as museum visits and historical tours
- enrichment opportunities on the RIT campus
- social functions, such as dances, mixers, and holiday celebrations PLEASE NOTE: Dances, bowling, Enrichment and Holiday Party are open to all individuals with intellectual and/or other development disabilities.
