ROCHESTER, N.Y.—KICKSALON, a full-service salon and spa on Alexander Street, recently raised more than $1,500 for The Arc of Monroe County during an art exhibit and silent auction held at the salon on June 27.
For the third consecutive year, artists from The Arc of Monroe County’s Community Arts Connection were invited by Ron Palozzi, Brighton resident and owner of KICKSALON, to exhibit their artwork at the salon. The exhibit started on May 17 and ended with a silent auction and artist reception on June 27. The donations will help fund the visual and fiber arts program at Community Arts Connection.
Community Arts Connection (CAC) is a day habilitation program focused on the arts for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Individuals who attend CAC receive instruction in the visual arts, fiber arts, music, theatre, dance and literary arts.
